Not everyone can afford expensive skincare that the celebrities use. However, you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on products just to give yourself an all-star facial treatment. In fact, you can get the same results with natural remedies that you can make in your own kitchen. So, throw out those cheap, low-quality products because they aren’t helping you. Instead, open your fridge and give yourself clear skin with nature’s help.

Detox Water

It’s important to be hydrated if you want clear skin, however, you can make your own detox water which will aid in purifying and removing toxins from your body. All you need is to put cucumber, lemon and mint into a pitcher of water and refrigerate it. Ta-da!

Coconut Oil

Many people think that coconut oil is just for cooking, however, they’re forgetting that coconut oil is full of nutrients for your skin. It’s an amazing natural moisturizer and also has antimicrobial properties which act to keep prevent infection, leaving your skin clear. In addition, the phytochemicals in coconut oil are also antioxidants which aid in giving you that natural and radiant look. With a cotton ball, you can massage it on your face and wipe it off twice a day.

Aloe Vera

If you thought it was just used for sunburns, well, think again. Aloe Vera is an amazing plant that’s full of antiseptic properties. It’s known to be a great moisturizer and helps remove blemishes and spots. You want to make sure, though, that the aloe vera you buy is 100% natural without any additives. You can even buy yourself an aloe vera plant, and simply remove the outer layer of the leaf, using the gel inside to massage on your face.

Olive Oil

Surprisingly, you can use this for more than just salads. Olive oil contains vitamin E that works to restore your skin’s elasticity and provide hydration. It’s also used to remove impurities, so if you ever run out of makeup remover, use some oil olive! For clear skin, take a couple drops of olive oil and massage it onto your skin. Leave it on your face for a couple minutes and then wipe it off with a warm, damp washcloth.

Rose Water

In India, rose water is very popular for clear skin. What rose water does is increase your blood circulation and balance the skin’s pH. In addition, it’s also a natural astringent and skin toner. So, it’s a couple thing in one. You have to place your rose water in the fridge for 30 minutes, and then with a cotton ball, you apply it over a clean face. Let it air dry and then continue with your regular moisturizer.

If you’re used to eating spicy food, then you probably have some turmeric sitting in your pantry. It can be actually used for more than just for food. Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and has skin lightening properties that can reduce the appearance of blemishes and spots. If you want to use Turmeric, take 2 tablespoons and place it in 1/4 cup of water. Make it into a paste and apply it all over your face. Leave it for five minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is another great option for having clear skin. It balances pH levels of the skin which is really important if you’re trying to get that glow. It’s also a mild antiseptic and anti-inflammatory – so, if you have acne, this will help reduces the blemishes. You want to mix a tablespoon of baking soda with one teaspoon of water or lemon juice. After you make it into a paste, you can use it to gently exfoliate your skin. Rinse it off with warm water and you’re all done. You can do this two or three times a week for maximum results.

You’ve probably seen it in the movies, someone’s laying on a sunbed with cucumber on their eyes. Well, it actually works. Cucumbers are very hydrating and nourishing for your skin. All you have to do is cut a thick slice of fresh cucumber and rub it all over your face. Leave it overnight and then rinse it off in the morning. So, you should do this before you go to bed. In the morning, your skin will glow. You can do this daily.

See, it’s not that hard to work on getting clear skin without having to go broke. All you need to do is open your fridge and see what’s inside. As you can see, almost everything natural can be used for clear skin.
