We all want to look flawless, you’ve probably seen models and actresses with bright and buoyant skin. Sure, they have their makeup artists and stylists, but it takes more than just putting on some foundation. You want to glow from the inside out. That being said, you need to know some of the things you can do get glowing skin.
You are what you eat
You probably heard your mother 1000 times to eat your fruits and vegetables, well, you have listened to her. Your skin is a reflection of you. If you’re eating fried, fatty foods, soda, and double chocolate cakes, well, I’m not surprised if your skin is looking a little dull. This is where your moms advice comes in handy. You want to focus on eating clean. This means you’ll have to reduce your intake of those unhealthy foods and opt for clean eating. You want your diet to be a majority of vegetables, fruits and healthy fats. Your skin isn’t going to be glowing the day after you eat an apple, you’ll need a couple weeks to see the difference, however, you’ll notice your skin clearer and brighter.
Practice CTM
You need to develop a healthy regime for your face: Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize (CTM). Many people don’t have a routine and that’s why they have such problems with their skin. Cleansers help remove the daily build-up of dirt and pollution off of your face, preventing acne. Toners aid in restoring your skin’s pH balance while also tightening your pores. Then the moisturizer helps give your skin the hydration it needs.
Stay hydrated
Drinking water is a nuisance, it really is and that’s why so many people are dehydrated. But, you need to make sure your body is getting the right amount of water. Drinking water helps to detoxify your body and remove impurities. If your skin is prone to wrinkles and dryness, well, drink water. By drinking water, you’ll keep your skin buoyant and radiant. So, make sure that you drink 2 litres of water per day – within a week, you’ll notice a difference.
Remove your makeup
You went out last night and you’re too lazy to take off your makeup. No, no, no – get yourself up from the bed and spend five minutes taking it off, seriously. Your makeup is usually made with a concoction of chemicals that do more harm than good to your skin. In addition, it also attracts dirt and clogs your skin which is what causes acne and pimples. Use a mild cleansing milk to thoroughly remove makeup from your skin, eyes and lips. The extra five minutes you’ll spend cleaning your face will pay off the next day.
Use An Anti Aging Cream With SPF
Everyone looks beautiful with a golden tan, we can’t deny that. However, slathering yourself up with suntanning oil and laying out in the sun all day is doing you more harm than good. If you’re needing your daily dose of vitamin C, then you should be in the sun from 7 am to 9 am, when it isn’t strong. However, you need to be wearing SPF at all times in addition to an anti aging creams such as Kollagen Intensiv and Eyelasticity . With our depleting ozone, UV rays are now extremely strong and damage the texture of your skin. You should opt for a sunscreen with an SPF above 45.
Hands off pesky pimples
When you have a pimple on your face, the first thing you want to do is pop it. It’s normal, you’re only human. But listen, whatever you do, you cannot pop it. If you do, you run the risk of scarring and that isn’t going to work so well if you want flawless, glowing skin. When you pop a pimple, you increase the risk of opening it to infection, which only creates more pimples. Your pimple is only going to be hanging around for 3 or 4 days, however, the scarring can last your entire life. Is it really worth it? Exactly.
Sweat
Going to the gym is one of our many nightmares. But we’re not saying that you should head to the gym. But, if you want to detoxify your body and cleanse your pores, you’re going to need to sweat. Join a dance class, go swimming, or a fast-paced walk. The point is, you need to sweat at least once a day. So, find an activity that you enjoy doing and do it. Again, change doesn’t happen overnight, so you need to give it a couple weeks to see a change.
Now that you know what it takes to get your skin looking flawless, it’s time you added these steps into your daily routine. You’ll notice not only your skin glowing but your overall self.
